dario argento and lucio fulci made some of the best zombie films ever.
zombie holocaust
zombie flesh eaters
city of the living dead
also if you've got a dvd player try to get the beyond and listen to the commentary. the actors say how they did all the effects on it. theres a head explosion in there. you'll have to import it though because it's still banned in this country.
good luck. i fucking love zombie films.
remember there are 3 main types of zombie.
radiation zombies, dawn of the dead etc.
chemical zombies, return of the living dead.
and voodoo zombies, zombie flesh eaters.
they all move and kill in different ways and have different weaknesses. make sure you know what type you've got and you can't go wrong, or why not make one up yourself. there are no rules in art.

have you read I AM LEGEND there not called "zombies" in this book but there as good as.

One day i'll buythe rights to this book and it will be the best zombie/vampire film in history.
